WUE Western Undergraduate Exchange -WUE (pronounced “woo-wee”) is a program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Through WUE, students in western states may enroll in more than 140 two-year and four-year college institutions at a reduced tuition level: 150 percent of the institution's regular resident tuition. The program began in 1987 and all WICHE states have now signed the agreement. A copy of your state’s signed WUE agreement is available for your review. Students from all WICHE member states are eligible to request the WUE tuition discount.

Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) – supports fields of study for Montana residents including: allopathic medicine (MD), osteopathic medicine (DO), veterinary medicine, dentistry, optometry, occupational therapy, and podiatry.

Scholarship Options for High School Students

SC MT AHEC Healthcare Professions Scholarship

Congratulations to Nicole Crosby, of Deer Lodge, for being awarded the 2011 SC MT AHEC Healthcare Professions Scholarship!

Each year South Central Montana AHEC awards a scholarship to a graduating senior attending high school in the South Central Region that plans to pursue a degree in a health professions program of study at a Montana institute of higher education.

- Eligibility counties include: Beaverhead, Broadwater, Deer Lodge, Gallatin, Granite, Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Madison, Park, Powell and Silverbow.

- The scholarship is awarded based on the student's interest and passion in pursuing a health care career and his/her desire to serve under-served populations and minorities a rural or urban under-served setting.

Applications will be available online in early Spring 2012. Check back here to download your application!
